About Me

I'm Rein, the owner and technician behind pchelpathome.co.nz. I've been working with computers since their introduction in 1984, and through supporting friends and family, I realized many people only scratch the surface of what their PCs can do. By guiding users on tasks like emailing, internet browsing, digital photo management, and document creation, I've seen first hand how a little personal support can boost confidence and turn frustration into genuine enjoyment.

Over the last four decades, I've worked in the computer departments of major Dutch companies and later served as an Information Technology Manager after immigrating to New Zealand. In this role, I led the Information Technology Department, shaping strategies to maximize and improve the company's technology. I enjoyed working within global IT policies while still securing the best outcomes for the local business. However, after thirty years in the corporate world, I found my true passion in helping home and small-business users get the most from their PCs. I look forward to sharing my experience and supporting you on your computer journey.
